Edgy, raw and emotionally inspired the works of Pablo Kontos speak to modern audiences in a very personal way. Kontos works are part of a larger series entitled "Homage to Soledad." As the viewer can see, Kontos representations of self, others and their environment are intense and creepy. His neo-primitive figures and compositions are reminiscent of works by Basquiat thrilling, while the drama of your color choices remind the viewer more brightly-than-life landscapes of Van Gogh. Kontos states began his artistic process for "trying to destroy reality" and then rebuild a more exciting world through its shape and color less recognizable version. Paul Kontos studied painting with fellow Argentine artist Carlos Gorriarena attending his studio for two years. Kontos has exhibited his work in galleries and museums throughout Argentina. He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires,Argentina.
